Fall Tryouts

With tryouts come nerves from athletes and fear of rejection. But as Michael Jordan said:
"Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game."
We are looking for athletes that work hard, who are dedicated, and who are willing to just try their best.

Our program likes to view tryouts as a way to get an inside look at what level all athletes are on before making a decision. As well as; do the athletes work well together? Can the athlete work well under pressure? Does the athlete have the correct attitude when faced with a challenge? Is the athlete coachable? Skill level is not the only important factor when joining a team.

We encourage anyone that is interested in trying out to give the program a chance and see if you enjoy it. Tryouts are not a mandatory commitment to joining.

Attached below is a link to the tryout packet that was handed out at the Information Meeting.

In this packet you will find:
- General information about the season
- What we will be evaluating at tryouts
- A letter about what it means to be apart of the team.
- Mandatory permission slip and contact form that your athlete must have signed on the first day of tryouts to check in.

Any further questions - Coach Simon can be contacted via Email.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!

3..2..1.. LETS GO!

Our season ended one month ago; and just like that.. it is time for pre-season conditioning to start! We will be following fitness programs provided by CHEERFIT! and FIT With ASD to incorporate different HIIT workouts to our routine.

*These programs will help with strong stunting, powerful tumbling, and flexibility in Jumps and Top Girl Positions.

If you are interested in joining the cheer team in the fall; we highly recommend attending the conditioning sessions to be at the same level as other members on the team who will be in attendance. We want everyone to succeed and this is one step in the right direction!

These sessions will be available for any CURRENT Montville High student that is interested in the program; and thinking of attending our Fall Evaluations in June.
**If you are an incoming Freshman who is interested - we will be welcoming you starting in June after your promotion ceremony**

Location: Montville High School - Back Gym
Days of the week: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Times: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

We start on April 2nd and look forward to seeing you there!

We’re Going to Camp!

Considering coming out for our 2019 Fall Team?

We are so excited to announce that we will be partnering with another ECC team and designing our own UCA Summer Camp schedule! By creating our own schedule for camp it allows us to focus on categories that we think would benefit our team the most, while also cutting out travel costs!

UCA provides a great cheer education program and we are so excited to be able to work with & meet some of their staff! More information to follow as we get closer to the summer months and we get our team picked.
